We think that Princess Leah is the sleeper in our herd. She has beautiful white fleece that you normally don't find on a chilean/peruvian cross. She won her first blue ribbon at the Empire Extravaganza in 2005. Julio Sumar stated that though he was judging her in the shorn class, he thought that her fleece was very nice. She also took 4th in a very tough class at her very first show (and yes, we were one of those who hadn't trained her to lead at that point....). Kevin O'Leary had remarked that since she was so flighty it was hard to judge her, but she was good tempered and he required to see her back in the ring that following spring. Needless to say, she is something special!
Princess Leah proved to be a good mom with her first cria back in November 2007. She produced a handsome white boy out of Snowmass Invincible. We then bred her to Captain Nemo the following spring. Her dam, Princess, had a beautiful brown boy from Nemo, and we are hoping for some of the same from Princess Leah. We were thrilled that she gave birth on August 22, 2009 to a beautiful light rose grey tuxedo boy, Prince Alderaan!! In late September, 2010, she gave birth to a lovely dark fawn boy who looked like he would fulfill the promise of all his previous brothers and sisters.
Princess Leah is a wonderful girl, always the first to the fence to see what is going on. As you can tell by her pictures she has a lovely carriage. What you can't see in the pictures is the nice handle and character of her fleece. She is extremely soft with consistent crimp from end to end. Her mother Princess has been a great production female and she seems to have passed that right onto Leah. Her sire is The Double E Ranch's dark fawn macho El Senior who has helped trigger great fleeces and presence on all his offspring.
This gal is known for her 2X champion son, Invicible's White Satin Knight (aka: Funky White Boy). We are very proud of him, and extra proud of Leah for having him. Prince Alderaan, her other
